Seminar on «30 Years of Trados Technologies»
A seminar on «30 Years of Trados Technologies» was held during the International Oil & Gas Exhibition (KIOGE).
The seminar was organized by T-Service, the official representative of SDL in the CIS, with the support of Neotech and was part of the global SDL Trados Roadshow.
The event caught the attention of representatives of the translation industry, both freelance translators and full-time specialists of companies in Kazakhstan.
The seminar was built around presentations by T-Service representatives Tatiana Vinogradova and Svetlana Svetova, who have been recognized as experts in using and installing Trados technologies since the company was founded.
During the first part of the seminar, the audience took a trip into the past, where they learned about how SDL developed and grew, and traced the evolution of Trados software. The speakers also discussed long-term development of the technology associated with the implementation of SDL Language Cloud. A master class on working with SDL Trados Studio 2014 was an important and anticipated part of the event.
Yury Pachko, Marketing and Sales Director at Neotech, spoke on behalf of the corporate customer. He gave a presentation on the topic «Trados — an incentive for the creation and development of linguistic engineering». Yuri presented the highlights of working with the Trados, which have a beneficial effect on all aspects of the translation process and make it possible to design a perfect technological solution for linguistic problems of any complexity.
According to the participants, the event was informative and useful both in theoretical and practical terms.
The seminar ended with a festive reception hosted by the organizers to mark the 30th anniversary of Trados technologies.
